In the heart of Venice, along the quiet curve of a canal, a renowned 4-star hotel asked for a new garden design to surround and complement the existing centuries-old trees. This garden should not just be something ornamental, but a space that guests could feel, move through, and remember. A place where the rhythm of the seasons would guide the overall experience.
We chose plants that could thrive across Italy’s four seasons. Perennials that bloom with the warmth, and vines that rest bare through the blistering cold months. The design embraces change, allowing the garden to feel different every few months without losing its sense of place.
Small nooks were created for pause and reflection, framed by water and the city’s patina. In Venice, everything ages beautifully. This garden is no exception.
